At JHS we are constantly striving to develop and enrich the RE curriculum both by closely montioring national trends and advice (such as REtoday) and working as an active part of the local cluster.  Most importantly we want our RE to be relevant and reflective of the needs of our children, so that they can hold religiously literate and informed conversations.

Here at JHS we believe creative RE is better RE and below, we hope to show you how we seek to do this.  Examples are shown, most recent first and two further pages follow to show the journey we have travelled on for the last 4 years. From September 2019, staff are using the Lincolnshire syllabus to deliver RE which complies with meeting the Statement of entitlement as agreed by our local SACRE, East Riding of Hull. Our long term plan for RE uses the balanced RE approach and seeks to combine excellent RE with the needs of the local community diversity within which we live.
