At John Harrison CE Primary School we take our responsibility to prepare children for life in modern Britain very seriously. We ensure that the fundamental British values are introduced, discussed and lived through our ownschool values of ‘Compassion, Perseverance, Forgiveness, Friendship, Hope, Peace and Respect’ and through our mission statement ‘Success Through Effort’.These infuse the ethos and work of the school.

All curriculum areas, in particular RE, SMSC, PSHE and the Big Questions, help to further the children’s understanding of what it means to live in modern Britain.

As a school we make every effort to ensure our children have exposure to a wide variety of experiences beyond their local community ie sporting and musical events, residential visits and through visiting speakers.
